1 - SIRIA - 25 Giugno 2012. Dopo i giù precari equilibri politici degli ultimi tempi tra Siria e Turchia, i rapporti sono destinati a diventare sempre più tesi. Questa mattina, infatti, la contraerea siriana ha aperto il fuoco contro un jet militare turco che si era portato nello spazio aereo internazionale. L'abbattimento del velivolo è stato giustificato dal governo siriano affermando che in realtà esso aveva già oltrepassato il confine siriano, mentre Ankara ha immediatamente risposto che verranno prese dure sanzioni contro la Siria, invocando anche l'intervento della NATO affinchè vengano prese misure punitive a livello internazionale contro il regime di Assad.

2 - SOMALIA - 26 Giugno 2012. Ennesimo scontro tra forze governative e militanti del gruppo terrorista degli Shabaab. Si sono verificati questa mattina nella città di Badhadhe, nella regione del basso Giuba tra i miliziani islamici di al Shabaab e le forze alleate somale e kenyane: almeno otto i morti, decine i feriti. La battaglia è esplosa dopo che i fondamentalisti hanno attaccato con granate e mitragliatori basi miltari dell'esercito kenyano a Badhadhe, città al confine tra la Somalia e il Kenya, a circa 180 chilometri a sud della roccaforte di al Shabaab, Chisimaio.

3 - BANGLADESH - 27 Giugno 2012. La pioggia battente degli ultimi giorni ha causato un vero e proprio disastro nella regione sud-orientale del Paese. Le infiltrazioni hanno provocato smottamenti del terreno che hanno dato vita a frane travolgenti, causando in tutto circa 90 morti ed un numero ancor più alto di feriti. Le vittime sono quasi tutte appartenenti ad abitanti di poveri villaggi. La protezione civile e l'esercito sono intervenuti in particolare nelle aree remote di Lama e Naikhanchhari del distretto di Bandarban, dove le difficoltà sono state più grandi.

Gli attentati non sono stati rivendicati da nessun gruppo terroristico, tuttavia sembra che anche in questo caso ci sia la mano di Al Qaida nell'azione.

IRAQ - June 28th, 2012. At least 12 people were killed and 40 others were injured today in a series of bomb attacks in Baghdad and points in the north of the Iraqi capital. The most serious attack occurred in a popular market in western Baghdad, where a car bomb caused the death of eight people and the injuring of 30 others. Yesterday, another 11 people were killed in the explosion of three bombs in Baghdad and in the south of the city. The attacks were not claimed by any terrorist group, but it seems that even in this case there is the hand of Al Qaeda.

5 – EGITTO – 29 Giugno 2012. Questa sera, ad una settimana dall'ufficialità dei risultati elettorali in Egitto, il neo-presidente Morsi, appartenente al partito dei Fratelli Musulmani, ha prestato un giuramento simbolico in piazza Tahrir durante il suo discorso. “Mi impegno a non danneggiare in alcun modo i diritti del popolo egiziano. Assicurerò i diritti e proteggerò tutti quelli che mi hanno eletto ma anche quelli che non mi hanno eletto. Non ci sarà nessuna discriminazione e nessuna differenza”.

Oltre 50 civili e 23 militari sono stati uccisi dall'esplosione di mine disseminate da al Qaida nel sud dello Yemen, in zone riconquistate dalle truppe governative il 13 giugno scorso dopo una lunga offensiva. "Oltre 50 cittadini sono stati uccisi dalle mine lasciate dai terroristi prima di fuggire da Zinjibar, Jaar e altre località", ha detto il ministero della Difesa. Inoltre, 23 militari, tra cui due ufficiali, sono stati anch'essi uccisi dalle mine.

YEMEN - June 30, 2012. 7 - MALI - 1 Luglio 2012. Non si placa la furia distruttrice del gruppo integralista islamico estremista Ansar Dine che oggi ha ripreso a demolire altri Mausolei di santi musulmani nella mitica città di Timbuctu, dopo averne distrutti tre nella giornata di ieri. Una dozzina di membri di Ansar Dine, muniti di scalpelli e picconi, si sono ritrovati al cimitero di Djingareyber, a sud di Timbuctu, dove si trovano almeno tre mausolei. Il gruppo legato ad Al Qaida vorrebbe riuscire a mantenere unito il Paese ma imporre una teocrazia basata sulla legge della sharia. Il governo ha fatto appello persino all'ONU affinchè possa aiutarlo a debellare il problema, visto che la città è Patrimonio dell'Umanità dell'Unesco, ricevendo l'appoggio di Ban Ki-Moon.

MALI - July 1, 2012. The destructive fury of fundamentalist Islamic extremist group Ansar Dine has now begun to demolish other mausoleums of Muslim saints in the mythical city of Timbuktu, after having destroyed three yesterday. 1 – YEMEN – 11 Giugno 2012. Prosegue l'offensiva dell'esercito yemenita contro Al Qaida nelle regioni a sud e a est del Paese. Almeno 26 membri del gruppo terroristico Ansar Al-Sharia, affiliato ad Al Qaida, sono rimasti uccisi nei combattimenti, mentre l'esercito conta due soldati morti. Gli scontri si sono verificati nella periferia nord-ovest di Jaar, città marittima a sud del Paese, dove i fondamentalisti hanno edificato il loro quartiere generale controllando la città dal Marzo del 2011. Le forze armate sono riuscite a sequestrare agli integralisti armi, munizioni e mezzi e nella notte sono riuscite a liberare la città ed a riprenderne il controllo.

YEMEN - June 11, 2012. Yemeni army continues its offensive against Al Qaeda in the southern and eastern region of the country. At least 26 members of the terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia, which is affiliated with Al Qaeda, were killed in the fighting, while the army has lost two soldiers. The clashes occurred in the north-west suburb of Jaar, seaside town south of the country where fundamentalists have built their headquarters controlling the city since March 2011. The armed forces have succeeded in seizing weapons, ammunition and cash to the fundamentalists in the night and managed to free the city and regain control.

2 - ARGENTINA – GRAN BRETAGNA - 12 Giugno 2012. A 30 anni dalla guerra delle Falkland il governo dell'arcipelago britannico ha indetto un referendum sul proprio futuro politico per mettere fine al contenzioso con l'Argentina. La Gran Bretagna "rispetterà e difenderà" il risultato del referendum, ha detto il premier britannico, David Cameron. "Sta al popolo delle isole Falkland decidere se vuole restare britannico" e il mondo dovrebbe "ascoltarlo". "Per questo le forze britanniche liberarono le isole dagli invasori argentini", ha detto il primo ministro. Dopo infinite dispute, quindi, sembra che alla fine si possa arrivare a chiudere pacificamente il contenzioso tra Gran Bretagna e Argentina. Il referendum si terrà nella prima metà del 2013.

3 - IRAQ - 13 Giugno 2012. Giornata di terrore oggi nel Paese iracheno con decine di bombe che sono scoppiate in varie città. A Hilla due ordigni vicino ad un ristorante hanno fatto una ventina di morti e quasi 40 feriti, mentre a Baghdad una dozzina di vittime e più del doppio di feriti sono stati causati da una serie di bombe piazzate in varie autovetture. Nella capitale sono andati in scena anche attacchi a mano armata da parte di alcuni drappelli di terroristi. Ma nel primo pomeriggio gli attentati si sono estesi anche in altri centri, soprattutto frequentati da pellegrini sciiti che ricordavano l'anniversario della morte dell'Imam Mussa al Khadim.

Lo ha detto il colonnello Htein Lin, ministro della Sicurezza dello stato birmano al confine col Bangladesh. Secondo le ultime stime, infatti, 31.890 persone si sono rifugiate in 37 campi in seguito alle almeno 1.662 case incendiate negli ultimi giorni come conseguenza delle violenze reciproche tra le due comunità religiose. La leader Aung San Suu Kyi, dal suo viaggio europeo, ha espresso la sua preoccupazione per la situazione in atto. ''Senza la supremazia della legge tali lotte comunitarie continueranno'', ha detto la premio Nobel per la Pace, aggiungendo che ''serve la cooperazione di tutte le persone interessate per ritrovare la pace che vogliamo per il nostro paese''.

5 – SOMALIA – 15 Giugno 2012. Gli integralisti al Shabaab hanno attaccato un convoglio militare di truppe somali e etiopi a Yurkut, al confine tra le regioni di Bay e Gedo, a sud ovest della Somalia. Per varie ore si sono verificati pesanti scontri in due villaggi vicini che si sarebbero conclusi con l'uccisione e la fuga di numerosi integralisti. Il gruppo legato ad al Qaida quindi dimostra di voler tener viva la sua presenza nonostante le pesanti sconfitte subite negli ultimi tempi, soprattutto dopo la decisione dell'Unione Africana di impegnare forze militari internazionali per debellare il movimento terroristico.

La deflagrazione è stata provocata da una bomba piazzata vicino a un stazione del bus a Landikotal, una caotica città di frontiera.

7 - NIGERIA - 17 Giugno 2012. Nel corso della giornata sono avvenuti una serie di attentati a varie chiese cristiane in diverse città del Paese. Le prime due esplosioni hanno colpito due chiese nella città settentrionale di Zaria, mentre altre tre bombe sono scoppiate a Kaduma. Un responsabile della Croce rossa a Kaduna ha riferito che ''per il momento sono stati recuperati i corpi di 20 persone'' morte nelle esplosioni. Dopo gli attentati è esplosa la rabbia dei cristiani che, per rappresaglia, hanno fermato un gruppo di musulmani dando vita a scene di violenza che hanno provocato circa altri 30 morti ed un centinaio di feriti.

1 - ISRAELE - 15 Aprile 2012. Oggi ha inizio la spedizione di 1500 attivisti non violenti, provenienti da 15 paesi differenti, che approderanno in Israele al fine di raggiungere Betlemme, in Palestina, per partecipare alla costruzione di un complesso scolastico. Ad attenderli alla mèta si contano anche svariati attori israeliani, contrari all'operato del loro governo. L'azione è tesa a criticare l'opera, priva di qualunque fondamento legale, di interrogatori e monitoraggio di coloro che vogliono entrare nel territorio di Israele. Solo dopo un'attenta analisi delle finalità del viaggio e dei dettagli della permanenza, l'esercito israeliano concede l'ingresso nel territorio. L'azione era già stata tentata l'anno scorso da 500 attivisti, bloccati però fin da subito dalle "liste nere" pervenute alle compagnie aeree, contribuendo ad aumentare il significato di questo secondo tentativo.

There'll be several israelian actors waiting for the activists, protesting against the poilicies of their government. The action is aimed to criticize the action, whithout any legal background, of questioning an monitoring those who want to enter in the israelian territory. Only after an accurate analysis of the trip aim and details, the israelian Army gives the permission of entering in the State. The action was already tried by 500 activists the last year, but they've been blocked by the "black lists" arrived to the airlines, contributing to give a stronger meaning of this second attempt.

TURKEY - 14th April 2012. World powers and Iran launched a new round of negotiations in Istanbul on Saturday, aiming to resolve a long-standing dispute over Tehran's nuclear programme that threatens to spark a new war in the Middle East. "Delegates have gone in, plenary is just getting started," a diplomat close to the negotiations said. Diplomats say the round, the first in 15 months, is unlikely to result in a major breakthrough but offers a chance to resume dialogue and dampen speculation that Israel might launch military strikes to prevent its arch enemy from acquiring nuclear arms. Global fuel prices have risen this year amid deepening tensions over the nuclear programme, which Iran says is for peaceful purposes.

Le forze armate, che sostengono di non avere "ambizioni di potere", hanno detto di essere state "costrette ad intervenire per difendersi dalle manovre del governo", che voleva farle "eliminare da una forza militare straniera". 4 - SUDAN - 12 Aprile 2012. Oggi la città di Bentiu, capitale dello Stato sud sudanese di Unità, ricco di petrolio, è stata bombardata. Secondo Atem Yaak Atem, viceministro dell'Informazione, “almeno cinque bombe” hanno preso di mira il ponte che collega la città con il nord, con l’intento di “provocare una guerra”. Al momento non sono segnalate vittime. A Juba intanto il presidente sud sudanese Salva Kiir ha annunciato che non ritirerà il proprio esercito dalla zona petrolifera contesa di Heglig, presa ieri dall’esercito sudanese, e invierà le forze di Juba nell’Abyei se le Nazioni Unite non evacueranno le truppe di Khartoum da tutta l’area. Il numero uno del Palazzo di Vetro Ban Ki-Moon ha invitato il presidente sud sudanese a considerare la possibilità di organizzare immediatamente un vertice con l’omologo sudanese Omar Hassan Ahmad al Bashir, per stabilire subito una situazione di pace.

Dei militanti che hanno preso di mira alcune famiglie Sciite nella provincia di Diyala a nord della capitale irachena hanno ucciso cinque persone ferendone altre sei, avendo piazzato le bombe attorno alle loro abitazioni, hanno detto donti provenienti dal personale di sicurezza. Le fonti hanno dichiarato che gli attacchi sono avvenuti dopo che sono stati distribuiti dei volantini a varie case abitate da Sciiti Musulmani nel centro di Baquba, intimandogli di lasciare l'area altrimenti sarebbero stati uccisi. le violenze in Iraq sono nettamente diminuite rispetto agli apici raggiunti dalle lotte settarie del 2006-07, ma i bombardamenti e le uccisioni sono ancora all'ordine del giorno, la cui maggioranza è destinata agli Arabi Sunniti che hanno rifiutato di sottomettersi alle armi dopo il ritiro delle truppe statunitensi del Dicembre scorso.
IRAQ - 11th April 2012. Militants targeting Shi'ite families in the Diyala province in the north of Iraq's capital killed five people and wounded six others when they set off bombs around their houses, local security sources said on Wednesday. The sources said the attacks took place after leaflets were distributed to several houses belonging to Shi'ite Muslims in central Baquba, telling them to leave the area or they would be killed.
Violence in Iraq has dropped sharply since the height of sectarian fighting in 2006-7 but bombings and killings still occur daily, with most attacks blamed on Sunni Arab militants who have refused to lay down arms since the withdrawal of U.S. troops last December.

Il traballante "cessate il fuoco" imposto alla Siria dalle Nazioni Unite è stato infranto in vari punti, soprattutto nella città di Homs, con un bilancio di 31 morti fra i rivoltosi e 6 soldati regolari. lo stesso segretario generale dell'ONU ha dichiarato la situazione "dominata dal caos", là dove il presidente Bashar Al-Assad vorrebbe promuovere una costituzione riportante diritti inesistenti per il popolo siriano. la guerra civile che infuria da 13 mesi non accenna a diminuire d'intensità, e le manifestazioni antigovernative continuano a provocare morti su morti.

1 - CILE - 26 Marzo 2012. Un terremoto di magnitudo 7,2 ha colpito la zona centrale del Cile. La scossa ha provocato panico a Santiago e in alcune località dell'area centrale del paese. Le autorita' hanno decretato ''l'allerta preventivo'' su un tratto della costa della regione del Maule, 240 chilometri a sud di Santiago, chiedendo ''l'evacuazione'' agli abitanti della regione, circa 7.000 persone. Fortunatamente non si registrano particolari danni ai cittadini colpiti dalla disgrazia, visto che non ci sono morti ed i feriti sono solo 10, di cui nessuno in gravi condizioni.

CILE - 26th March 2012. an earthquake measuring 7.2 has striked the central area of Cile. the earth tremor has provoked panic in Santiago and some other places in the central region of the Country. the authorities have declared the "state of alert" on a part of the coast of the Maule region, 240 km in the south far from Santiago, asking for the "evacuation" to the inhabitants of the region, around-7.000 people. luckily, there's no notice of particularly grave damages to the citizens hit by the disgrace, because there are no deaths and the hurted are only 10, of whom no one is considered grave.


2 - SIRIA - 27 Marzo 2012. Il governo siriano di Damasco riferisce di aver accettato il piano elaborato dall'ex Segretario generale dell'ONU, Kofi Annan, per risolvere la crisi interna del Paese, dove la guerra civile tra ribelli al regime di Bashar Al Assad ed i suoi sostenitori ha causato finora quasi 10.000 morti. Durante la giornata, tuttavia, si registrano altre operazioni militari al confine con il Libano. Il piano di pace è composto principalmente di sei punti, tra i quali l'interruzione dei combattimenti da ambo le parti, il ritiro delle truppe lealiste e delle artiglierie pesanti dalle città teatro di scontri, un cessate il fuoco quotidiano di due ore per motivi umanitari e per soccorrere i feriti, l'accesso garantito a tutte le zone di conflitto ed il rilascio di coloro che sono finiti in carcere per motivi politici. Ma soprattutto il piano prevede una transizione politica a carattere democratico.

SYRIA - 27th March 2012. the Syrian government of Damascus referres to have accepted the plan elaborated from the ex general secretary of ONU, Kofi Annan, for solving the internal crysis of the Country, where the civil war between the rebels to the Bashar Al Assad regimen and his supporters has caused until now nearly 10.000 deaths. during the day, though, other military operations are being registered next to the border with Lebanon. the peace plan is principally composed by six pionts: the interruption of the fights from both the sides, the withdrawal of the loyalist troops and of the heavy artilleries from the cities became arenas of the conflicts, a daily two-hours chase-fire for humanitary reasons anf or soccurring the injured, the guaranteed access to the whole conflict zones and releasing of those who have been put in prison for political reasons. but most of all, the plan provides a democratic political transition.


3 - MALI - 28 Marzo 2012. A pochi giorni dal colpo di Stato che ha portato al potere una giunta militare, il governo ha annunciato di aver adottato un nuovo "atto fondamentale" destinato a garantire "uno stato di diritto" ed "una democrazia pluralista". Il documento sarà una vera e propria Costituzione in vigore in questo periodo transitorio, ossia fino a quando il governo non indirà nuove elezioni a cui, per dichiarazione di un portavoce della giunta militare, non si candiderà nessuno tra i militari, in modo da avviare una nuova vita democratica per il Mali.

MALI - 28th March 2012. a few days far from the coup d'etat that rose to power a military committee, the government has announced to have adopted a new "fundamental act" designed to guarantee a "state of rights" and "a pluralist democracy". the document will be an official Constitution in force in this transition period, wich means until the government will call new elections in which, as declared from a spokesman of the militaries, not even one of the soldiers will be candidated, to start a new democratic life for Mali.
4 - IRAQ - 29 Marzo 2012. Si è inaugurato oggi il vertice della Lega Araba a Baghdad, per la prima volta dal 1990 quando è nata. Sul tavolo dell'incontro ci sono molte questioni da discutere, vicenda siriana in primis. Per la prima volta è arrivato nella capitale irachena l'emiro del Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad al Sabah, dopo l'invasione del suo Paese da parte delle forze di Saddam Hussein nel 1990 durante il suo regime.
IRAQ - 29th March 2012. today the first meeting of the Arabic League from the 1990, year in which the League has been founded, took place in Baghdad. on the table there are many matters need to be discussed, first of all the sirian affair. for the first time, the emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, entered in the capitol city, after the invasion of his Country from the troops of Saddam Hussein in 1990, during his regimen.
5 - INDONESIA - 30 Marzo 2012. La proposta del governo di aumentare il prezzo della benzina ha causato oggi una protesta, a cui hanno partecipato migliaia di persone inferocite, davanti al Parlamento a Giakarta. La folla è riuscita ad entrare nel complesso dove ha sede il Parlamento, che in quel momento stava tenendo una discussione sul provvedimento, quando la polizia è intervenuta con lancio di lacrimogeni ed uso di idranti sui manifestanti. Si rilevano alcuni feriti, anche se nessuno grave tuttavia la rabbia della popolazione sembra destinata ad aumentare, con il rischio di nuovi e più violenti scontri.

INDONESIA - 30th March 2012. the proposal of the government to raise the price of fuel has caused today a protest, to which thousands of people took part, in front of the Jakarta's Parliament. the crowd succeeded to enter in the building where the Parliament is settled, which in that moment was been holding a discussion about the measure, when the police intervened launching tear gas and using hydrants on the protesters. there are a few injured, even though no one seems to be seriously hurted, however the rage of the population seems to be raising in the future, risking to cause new and more violent conflicts.


6 - YEMEN - 31 Marzo 2012. Si conferma alta la tensione nel Paese della penisola arabica. Almeno 29 persone sono morte in violenti combattimenti a Mellah, nel sud del Paese, causati da un'offensiva dei militanti di Sharia al-Ansar (Sostenitori delle sharia, legata ad Al Qaida) contro i militari. Si sono registrati morti e feriti da entrambe le parti, ma sembra che i ribelli abbiano subito anche la perdita di alcuni veicoli. Questi da tempo stanno compiendo azioni violente con l'obiettivo di esercitare pressione sul governo affinchè includa la sharia come legge di Stato.

YEMEN - 31 March 2012. The high tension in the country of the Arabian Peninsula is continuing. At least 29 people were killed in heavy fighting in the Mellah, in the south of the Country, caused by an offensive of militants of Sharia al-Ansar (Supporters of Sharia, linked to Al Qaeda) against the military. There have been deaths and injuries on both sides, but it seems that the rebels have also suffered the loss of some vehicles. These violent acts are taking some time with the aim of putting pressure on the government so as to include sharia law state.
7 - MYANMAR - 1 Aprile 2012. Nelle elezioni svolte oggi il partito della Lega nazionale per la democrazia di Aung San Suu Kyi, Premio Nobel per la Pace, raggiunge una vittoria schiacciante. Sulle 44 circoscrizioni su 45 in cui il partito ha presentato un candidato, la Lega nazionale risulta in testa ovunque. Aung San Suu Kyi in persona, nella sua circoscrizione a Kahwmu, ha ottenuto il 99% dei consensi. Con questa vittoria il Myanmar si avvia a cominciare una nuova vita democratica dopo anni ed anni di dittatura militare.

MYANMAR - 1 April 2012. In the elections held today the party of the National League for Democracy of Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Peace Prize, reaches a landslide victory. On 44 out of 45 constituencies where the party presented a candidate, the National League is leading anywhere. Aung San Suu Kyi in person, in his constituency in Kahwmu, won 99% of the vote. With this victory Myanmar is poised to begin a new democratic life after years and years of military dictatorship.


8 - EXTRA NEWS - SENEGAL - 26 Marzo 2012. I cittadini del Senegal hanno eletto l'ex-Primo Ministro Macky Sall, sancendo definitivamente la caduta dell'ex premier 85enne Abdoulaye Wade. Le elezioni senegalesi hanno rappresentato un test positivo per la democrazia in una regione segnata da spargimenti di sangue ed elezioni irregolari, come nel caso della guerra civile in Costa d'Avorio lo scorso anno, o il colpo di stato militare in Mali della scorsa settimana. Wade ha governato per 12 anni e ha speso molto per migliorare le infrastrutture, benché le sue politiche abbiano fatto poco per sconfiggere la povertà.

SENEGAL - 26th March 2012. the citizens of Senegal have elected the ex - Prime Minister Macky Sall, ratifying the downfall of the 85 years old ex - premier Abdoulaye Wade. the senegalese elections have represented a positive test for the democracy in a region hurted by blood-spreads and irregular elections, as the case of the civil war in Ivory Coast the last year, or the militar coup d'etat in Mali of the last week. Wade has governed for 12 years and has spent pretty much to increase the infrastructures, even though his policies have done very little to defeat the poverty.

1 - MYANMAR - 19 Marzo 2012. E' stato liberato oggi un anziano leader della minoranza etnica Karen, che da oltre mezzo secolo lotta per una maggiore autonomia dal governo centrale della popolazione al confine con la Thailandia. Mahn Nyein Maung era stato condannato a 20 anni di carcere la settimana scorsa dalle autorità governative per reati politici, visto che in attesa delle elezioni in primavera il Paese è ancora in mano ad una dittatura militare. La sua liberazione, avvenuta grazie ad un indulto, consentirà di riaprire i negoziati tra governo e Karen, che si erano avviati dopo aver concordato un cessate il fuoco in Gennaio per interrompersi con l'arresto di Maung.

1 - MYANMAR - 19th March 2012. Today has been freed an old leader of the ethnical minority called Karen, which for more than 50 years is fighting for a deeper authonomy from the central government of this population on the boarder of Thailand. Mahn Nyein Maung was condemned to 20 years of jail the last week, from the governative authorities for political crimes, because until the spring elections the Country is still in the hands of a military dictatorship. His release, occurred thanks to a pardon, will let the reopening of the negotiates between the Karens and the government, that started after having agreed a cease-fire in January, stopped with the arrest of Maung.

2 - IRAQ - 20 Marzo 2012. Questa mattina si sono verificate esplosioni in varie città del Paese che hanno causato 39 morti e più di 180 feriti. Gli attentati più violenti, tutti condotti con ordigni e bombe rudimentali, sono stati portati a Kerbala, città santa per gli sciiti, con almeno 13 morti, ed a Kirkuk, dove le vittime sono state non meno di 7. Una bomba è esplosa pure vicino al Ministero degli Esteri a Baghdad, dove però non sembrano esserci vittime. Oggi ricorre il nono anniversario dall'invasione statunitense del Paese, ma alcuni esperti ritengono che dietro a questi attentati potrebbe esserci il desiderio di diverse nazioni di far fallire il prossimo vertice della Lega Araba, che si riunirà nei prossimi giorni a Baghdad, composto in larga maggioranza da sunniti.

2- IRAQ – 20th March 2012. This morning explosions detonated in different cities of the Country, causing 39 deaths and more than 180 hurted. The most violent attacks, all led with raw bombs and explosive devices, took place in Kerbala, holy city for Shiites, with 13 deaths at least, and in Kirkuk, where the deaths are not less than 7. A bomb exploded near the Foreign Ministry in Baghdad, however it seems there have been no victims. Today is the 9th anniversary of the USA invasion of the Country, but some experts think that behind these attacks there could be the desire of several countries to sabotate the next Arab League meeting, that will take place in Baghdad in the next days, composed mostly from Sunni people.
3 - MALI - 21 Marzo 2012. Questo pomeriggio a Bamako, capitale del Paese, un gruppo di militari ha preso il controllo della tv di Stato. Nella città ci sono state molte sparatorie da parte dei soldati che si sono poi diretti verso il palazzo presidenziale, circondandolo con mezzi blindati. In serata il palazzo è stato attaccato ed i militari sono riusciti a portare a termine con successo il colpo di Stato, mentre nelle strade sono continuate per tutto il giorno scontri tra i militari golpisti e quelli fedeli al vecchio governo. Non è ancora chiara la sorte del Presidente Amadou Toumani Tourè. I militari, che dichiarano di aver agito per rimediare all'incapacità del governo, hanno immediatamente sospeso la Costituzione ed imposto il coprifuoco.

3 - MALI - 21th March 2012. This afternoon in Bamako, capital city of the Country, a group of servicemen took the head of the State tv. In the city there have been many shooting from the soldiers that suddenly went to the presidential palace, surrounding it with armored vehicles. In the evening the palace has been attacked and the soldiers could finalize the military coup, while in the streets the shootings between the servicemen of the military coup and the regular soldiers continued all day long. The fate of the president Amadou Toumani Tourè. The servicemen, that declared to have acted remedy to the incapacity of the government, have immediately suspended the Constitution and imposed the curfew.

4 - SIRIA - 22 Marzo 2012. La guerra civile che ormai da mesi è in scena nel Paese, dove gli oppositore del regime di Bashar Al Assad si scontrano quotidianamente con l'esercito, si allarga sempre di più. La repressione dell'esercito, che finora ha causato più di 8.000 morti, è arrivata fino in Libano, dove stamattina sette razzi hanno colpito il villaggio di al-Qaa, zona in cui giungono spesso i profughi siriani, ferendo una persona. Intanto il Consiglio di sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite chiede nuovamente al regime ed ai ribelli di applicare il piano di pace approvato negli scorsi giorni, minacciando provvedimenti più radicali in caso di rifiuto. Il provvedimento prevede il cessate il fuoco e l'avvio di un dialogo politico democratico nel Paese. Tuttavia, nel corso del pomeriggio, si sono registrati altri morti in varie città siriane.

4 - SYRIA - 22th March 2012. The civilil war that for months is taking part in the Country, where the opposers of the Bashar Al Assad regimen are fighting daily with the army, is getting wider. The repression of th Army, that until now caused more than 8.000 victims, has arrived up to Lebanon, where this morning seven rockets have hit the village of Al-Qaa, an area in which usually arrive Syrian refugees, hurting a person. Meanwhile, the Security Council of th UN is asking again to the regimen and the rebels to apply the peace plan approved in the last days, threating more radical punishments in case of refuse. The measure wants the cease-fire and the start of a political and democratic dialogue in the Counrty. However, during the afternoon, news of deaths arrived from several Syrian cities.

5 - ISRAELE E PALESTINA - 23 Marzo 2012. Da un rapporto ONU emerge che i coloni israeliani in Cisgiordania, nella località di Mateh Binyamin, vogliono trasformare in centri turistici oltre 30 sorgenti di acqua potabile, impedendone così l'accesso ai contadini palestinesi. Il testo, che accusa i coloni della West Bank di soprusi e violenze, denuncia il fatto che già le sorgenti vengono presidiate del personale di sicurezza degli insediamenti e che ora i coloni sarebbero intenzionati a costruirvi intorno centri turistici per poter sfruttare le polle acquifere. Sono già stati costruiti panchine, tavoli da picnic e parcheggi, tutto senza permesso. In passato alcuni contadini che hanno tentato di avvicinarsi alle sorgenti sono rimasti uccisi. Così, a più di 60 anni dalla deviazione del fiume Giordano per impedirne la fruizione a palestinesi e siriani, Israele continua a privare di acqua le popolazioni limitrofe come strategia per i propri fini occupazionistici.

5 - ISRAEL AND PALESTINE - 23th March 2012. From an ONU report comes out that the israelian colons in West Bank, in the place called Mateh Binyamin, want to transform 30 springs of pourable water in touristic centers, by doing so blocking the access to the Palestinian coutrymen. The text, that accuse the West Bank colons of violences and bad acts, denounces the fact that the springs are already surveilled by the security staff of the centers and now the colons intent to build around touristic centers to exploit the natural water pools. Benches, picnic tables and parkings are already realized, everything without permission. In the past, some countrymen that have tried to get near to the springs have been killed. So, 60 years far from the deviation of the West Bank river to avoid the seizing to Palestinians and Syrians, Israel keep on depriving of pourable water the nearby populations as a strategy for their occupational aims.

6 - INDIA - 24 Marzo 2012. Questa mattina 50 ribelli maoisti, appartenenti cioè allo stesso gruppo che nei giorni scorsi ha sequestrato due italiani, hanno catturato un parlamentare indiano, Jhina Hikaka, nel distretto di Koraput. Per la sua liberazione i maoisti, che lottano da tempo per una maggiore indipendenza delle regioni nord-occidentali inseguendo l'ideale comunista di Mao Tze-Tung, hanno richiesto la fine delle azioni militari anti-maoiste ed il rilascio di alcuni prigionieri. Questi rapimenti mirano a mettere in difficoltà il governo di fronte all'opinione pubblica, così come il sequestro dei due italiani rientra in una strategia volta a mettere in crisi Nuova Delhi nei rapporti internazionali.

6 - INDIA - 24th March 2012. This morning 50 maoist rebels, part of the same group that in the last days has kidnapped two Italians, have captured an Indian polician, Jhina Hikaka, in the district od Koraput. For his releasing the Maoists, fighting fo a wider independence of the north-west regions since long time, following the communist ideal of Mao Tze-Tung, have asked for the endinf of the military actions anti-maoists and the releasing of some prisoners. These kidnappings aim to put in difficulty the government facing the public opinion, as the same as the kidnapping of the two Italians enters into a strategy aimed to put in crysis New Delhi in the international relationships.
7 - SENEGAL - 25 Marzo 2012. Va in scena oggi il secondo turno di elezioni per nominare il nuovo Presidente. Dopo la prima votazione di circa un mese fa, oggi le urne sono aperte per il ballottaggio tra il capo di stato uscente Abdoulaye Wade, 85 anni, al potere dal 2000, e il suo ex primo ministro Macky Sall, 50 anni, che e' riuscito ha ottenere l'appoggio di tutta l'opposizione e di gran parte della societa' civile. Il voto si è svolto senza incidenti, data anche la supervisione di 300 agenti internazionali per controllare la sua regolarità. I risultati saranno resi noti nei prossimi giorni, ma sembra che Sall abbia buone possibilità di vittoria, viste le dure contestazioni dei mesi scorsi nei confronti di Wade.

7 - SENEGAL - 25th March, 2012. Today it's in program the second round of elections to appoint the new President. After the first vote about a month ago, today polls are open for a runoff between the incumbent head of state Abdoulaye Wade, 85 years old, in power since 2000, and his ex Prime Minister Macky Sall, 50 years old, who has gained the support of all opposition and much of the population. The vote took place without incident, due to the supervision of 300 international staff, to check its validity. The results will be announced in the coming days, but it seems that Sall has a good chance of winning, considering the tough challenges of recent months against Wade.

1 - IRAQ - 5 Marzo 2012. A Haditha, città a circa 200 km a nordovest di Baghdad, una cinquantina di uomini armati ha compiuto una serie di attacchi nella nottata a vari posti di polizia. Le azioni hanno causato la morte di 27 agenti ed il ferimento di altri 5 e sono iniziate con il sequestro di due ufficiali di polizia nelle loro abitazioni, ritrovati morti poco lontano da esse. Anche 3 dei rapitori sono morti nelle sparatorie. Il portavoce della polizia, Tareq Sayeh Hardan, accusa Al Qaeda per il quello che è il più grave e violento attacco dell'ultimo anno per la città che fu teatro di una strage nel 2005. La regione è a maggioranza sunnita e le comunità locali negli ultimi anni si erano schierate dalla parte delle forze americane per combattere i militanti di Al Qaeda, con un grosso contributo delle forze di polizia. Per questo è molto probabile che l'attacco sia stato realmente pianificato dall'organizzazione terroristica.

IRAQ - 5th March 2012. In Hadita, a city 200 km in the north-west of Baghdad, around-fifty armed men have committed a series of attacks by night, hitting different police blocks. the actions, which have caused the death of 27 agents and 5 others hurted, started with the kidnapping of 2 police officers in their houses, found dead not far from these. 3 kidnappers too found the death in the shootings. the spokesman of the police, Tareq Sayeh Hardan, accused Al Qaeda as responsible of the most brutal an violent attack in the last year, in the same city which was theatre of the 2005 massacre. the region in mostly sunni and the local communities have lined up with the US forces in these last years, to fight against the Al Qaeda militians, with a great contribute of the police forces. that's why it's very probable that the attack was really planned by the organization written above.
2 - LIBIA - 6 Marzo 2012. A Bengasi, seconda città del Paese, migliaia di rappresentanti delle tribù orientali e diversi comandanti delle milizie hanno proclamato l'indipendenza della Cirenaica (la regione orientale della Libia) eleggendo un congresso regionale con funzioni di governo e formando un esercito autonomo. In tutta risposta il presidente del Consiglio nazionale transitorio libico, Jalil, commenta la vicenda affermando che questo è un atto di cospirazione fomentato da Stati stranieri che rischia di mettere a repentaglio il futuro democratico ed unitario della Libia. Per evitare tutto ciò Jalil si dichiara pronto anche all'utilizzo della forza. Il dopo-Gheddafi si dimostra così un cammino molto difficile per il Paese, a causa soprattutto della composizione etnica molto variegata dei suoi abitanti.

LIBYA - 6th March 2012. In Bengasi, second city of the Country, thousands of oriental tribes representers and various militians commanders have proclaimed the independence of Cyrenaica (the oriental region of Libya), electing a regional congress with governmental offices, forming an independent army. as a reply, the president of the transiting national Libyan Council, Jalil, comments what's happened affirming that this is an act of conspiracy risen by foreign Countries that risks to put in danger the united and democratic future of Libya. to avoid all of this, Jalil declares himself ready to use the strength, if necessary. the after-Gheddafi results to be a very hard passage for the Country, obstacled most of all from the very different ethnical composition of its inhabitants.
3 - TUNISIA - 7 Marzo 2012. A Tunisi un gruppo di salafiti, ossia il movimento sunnita che da sempre invoca un ritorno alle origini dell'Islam ed un'osservanza autentica del Corano in chiave non fondamentalista, hanno dato vita ad una protesta assediando la facoltà di Lettere e scienze umanistiche “La Manouba”. Da diversi giorni l'università è teatro di grandi scontri e proteste in un Paese che sta attraversando da più di un anno un'incerta e convulsa fase di transizione dopo la caduta del regime di Ben Alì. In particolare, il motivo della protesta dei salafiti è il rifiuto di accettare nella facoltà le studentesse che indossino il niqab, ossia il velo islamico che copre integralmente il volto.

TUNISI - 7th March 2012. In Tunisi a group of salafitians, which is the sunni movement that since always is evoking the return to the origins of Islam and an authentical observance of the Koran in a non-fundamentalistic view, has started a protest besieging the faculty of Letters an Humanistic Sciences "La Manouba". for many days the university is being theatre of hard fights and protests in a Country which for a year is passing througha doubtful and convulse transition phase after the fell-down of the the Ben Ali regimen. in particular, the cause of the salafites' protest is the refuse to accept in the faculty the female students wearing the niqab, which is the Islamic veil that covers the face integrally.

4 - ECUADOR - 8 Marzo 2012. Le organizzazioni indigene hanno dato il via oggi ad una lunga marcia attraverso tutto il Paese in segno di protesta contro la politica mineraria del governo, il quale ha di recente siglato un accordo per lo sfruttamento su vasta scala di una miniera nel sud dell'Amazzonia da parte dell'impresa cinese Ecuacorriente. Qualche giorno fa alcune donne avevano consegnato all'ambasciata cinese una lettera di protesta in cui si leggeva che la miniera «distruggerà per sempre i territori dei popoli indigeni e la natura», venendo brutalmente allontanate dalla polizia. In risposta, gli Indios hanno proclamato la marcia che comincerà appunto oggi.
ECUADOR – 8th March 2012. The native organizations have starter a long march through the whole country as a sign of protest against mineral policy of the government, which has recently signed an accord for the long-range exploitation of a mine south from Amazonia from a Chinese enterprise called “Ecuacorriente”. Few days ago some women have dealed to the Chinese embassy a letter of protest in which there was written that the mine “will destroy forever the lands of the native people and the nature”, being brutally pushed away from the police. As reply, the Indios have proclaimed the march which will take place in this date.

5 - PAKISTAN - 9 Marzo 2012. Nella regione settentrionale del Paese, nel Waziristan, un drone americano creato dalla CIA ha sparato oggi due razzi contro un edificio ed un'auto uccidendo almeno 13 persone. La zona si trova al confine con l'Afghanistan e per questo motivo dall'inizio dell'anno sono già più di 40 le vittime causate dall'attacco dei droni americani in più di 26 attacchi in questa regione. Ufficialmente gli attacchi sono organizzati per cercare di eliminare una cellula terroristica che starebbe studiando una serie di attentati in Europa, tuttavia in realtà la gran parte delle vittime sono risulta essere sempre popolazione civile.
PAKISTAN – 9th March 2012. In the northern region of the Country, in Waziristan, an American drone created from the CIA today has launched two rockets directed to a building and a car killing at least 13 people. The area is on the border with Afghanistan and for this since the beginning of the year the victims killed by American drones attacks in 26 occasions are already more than 40. officially the attacks are organized to try to eliminate a terroristic cell that would be studying a series of attempts in Europe, however most of the victims result being civilians.

6 - ISRAELE E PALESTINA - 10 Marzo 2012. Per tutto il giorno si susseguono attacchi e violenze a suon di missili. A partire dalla serata di ieri raid israeliani sulla Striscia di Gaza hanno causato 12 morti e 19 feriti, in rispoasta ai quali una quarantina di razzi e di colpi di mortaio sono stati lanciati sul sud d'Israele provocando il ferimento di quattro israeliani. Nella mattinata di oggi un velivolo israeliano ha aperto il fuoco su due palestinesi in sella ad una motocicletta ritenendo che fossero due miliziani che si preparavano a lanciare razzi verso Israele. Nel pomeriggio, quindi, non si è fatta attendere la risposta palestinese, con un lancio di razzi senza gravi conseguenze nel sud di Israele soprattutto a Beer Sheva, capoluogo della regione del Neghev, dove per precauzione domani le scuole rimarranno chiuse.

ISRAEL AND PALESTINE - 10th March 2012. All day long stilled bombardments and violences. From yesterday evening Israelian raids on Gaza Stripe caused 12 deaths and 19 hurted. Responding to this, fourty missiles and many mortar fires were launched on the southern part of Israel causing four Israelian hurted. During this morning an Israelian plane opened fire against two Palestinian riders confusing them with two militians, thinking they were launching missiles against Israel. During the afternoon Palestinians, as answer, launched missiles without heavy consequences on the southern part of Israel, in particular in Beer Sheva, chief city of the region of Neghev, where the schools will be closed out of prevention tomorrow.
7 - AFGHANISTAN - 11 Marzo 2012. Nella mattinata un soldato americano ha aperto il fuoco all'impazzata contro delle abitazioni in due villaggi del distretto di Panjwai, nella regione di Kandahar, causando la morte di almeno 17 civili e diversi feriti. Tra questi ci sono nove bambini e tre donne. Il soldato, che è stato immediatamente arrestato da militari della Forza internazionale di assistenza alla sicurezza (Isaf), soffriva da tempo di disturbi nervosi e probabilmente questa strage deriva da un raptus di follia. Il Presidente Karzai ha chiesto alla NATO di fare chiarezza sulla vicenda, mentre Obama si scusa definendo il fatto “tragico e scioccante”.

AFGHANISTAN – 11th March 2012. This morning an American soldier shot wildly against some homes in two different villages in the district of Panjwai, in Kandahar area, killing at least 17 civilians and injuring some others of them. There were nine children and three women too. The soldier, who has immediately arrested by the International Force of Assistance to Security, has been suffering from nervous troubles by long time and this massacre is probably caused by an act of folly. President Karzai has asked NATO to explain clearly about the vicissitude, Obama apologizes and he defines this event a “tragic and shocking” fact.

1 - YEMEN - 20 Febbraio 2012. Un ordigno è esploso oggi ad Aden, nel sud del Paese, nei pressi di un seggio elettorale alla vigilia delle elezioni presidenziali. Lo Yemen è uscito da pochi mesi da un regime retto da Ali Abdallah Saleh e queste elezioni dovrebbero sancire la nomina a capo dello Stato provvisorio di Abd Rabbo Mansour al Hadi, già vice presidente durante il regime. Tuttavia gli scontri tra forze governative e civili in questi tempi sono stati molti ed il clima a pochi giorni dalle elezioni è molto caldo. La morte di un militare nella sparatoria a seguito dell'attentato è la conferma.

YEMEN – 20TH February 2012. A device exploded today in Aden, in the southern part of the Country, nearby a polling station, the day before presidential elections. The nation had just overcame the regimen of Ali Abdallah Saleh, and these elections should ratify the charge of provisory State Chief of Abd Rabbo Mansour al Hadi, already vice-president during the last government. However, plenty of clashes between law enforcement agencies and civilians had been registered in the last period, and the general situation preceeding elections is still very hot. The death of a militar agent in the gunfire successed to the attempt confirms this atmosphere.

2 - SOMALIA - 21 Febbraio 2012. Nella regione meridionale del Paese si sono registrati oggi furiosi combattimenti che hanno visto contrapporsi le forze governative appoggiate da blindati e soldati etiopi e gli integralisti islamici al Shabaab. Da diversi mesi i fondamentalisti hanno concentrato centinaia di combattenti a difesa della regione da loro controllata. Il governo centrale ha deciso di riaffermare la loro presenza nella zona e, aiutato dalle forze etiopi che hanno subito grossi contraccolpi dall'interruzione delle rotte commerciali causata da al Shabaab, sta portando le proprie truppe verso Baidoa, la città principale della regione.

SOMALIA – 21 February 2012. in the southern region of the Country furious battler had been registered, wich have coinvolved governative troops standed by armoured vehicles and etiopian soldiers against militias of the islamic integralistic movement called “Al Shabaab”. Since many months the fundamentalists have concentrated hundreds of militians to defend the area controlled from them. The central government has decided to reaffirm its own presence in the region, and, helped by etiopian forces wich have suffered hard recoils for the commercial routes interferencies by Al Shabaab, is taking its troops to Baidoa, the principal city of the zone.

3 - SENEGAL - 22 Febbraio 2012. Le elezioni presidenziali, in programma domenica, sono sempre più vicine e questo aumenta la tensione nel Paese. Le manifestazioni organizzate a Dakar dagli oppositori del presidente Abdulaye Wade, che anche nei giorni scorsi sono state ostacolate con la forza dai militari, sono diventate sempre più violente. Da una parte si lanciano pietre e dall'altra lacrimogeni e proiettili, con il risultato che sta aumentando il numero dei morti tra i protestanti. La legge senegalese prevede un massimo di due mandati mentre l'attuale presidente si è candidato per la terza volta, suscitando l'indignazione delle opposizioni alle quali è stato proibito di manifestare dalle autorità. Ora la prospettiva della guerra civile non è così lontana.

SENEGAL – 22 February 2012. The presidential elections planned for Sunday are closer and closer, and this is causing the increasing of the tension in the Country. The manifestations organized in Dakar from the opponents of the actual president, Abdoulaye Wade, that even in the past days have been obstructed with the strenght by the army, are becoming every time more violent. From one side stones are launched, the other side replies with bullets and tear gas, increasing the pile of deaths among the protesters. The Senegalese law permits at the height two terms of office while Wade just candidated himself  for the third time in a row, causing the indignation of the oppositions to wich it had been prohibited from the authority to manifest. Now the perspective of a civil war is not so far from reality.

4 - SIRIA - 22 Febbraio 2012. Le forze militari siriane, impegnate da mesi a reprimere nel sangue i movimenti di protesta avversi al presidente Bashar al Assad, hanno bombardato un centro stampa allestito dai ribelli a Homs. All'interno hanno trovato la morte due giornalisti: Marie Colvin, americana inviata del Sunday Times, e Remy Ochlik, fotografo francese. La Siria precipita, ogni giorno di più, nel baratro del massacro, scivolando verso una guerra civile forse anche troppo annunciata. Ormai Assad trova la condanna internazionale di tutti, poiché anche per i suoi alleati di vecchia data come Russia, Cina e Iran è diventato indifendibile. Particolarmente forte è stata la condanna di Usa e Francia.

SYRIA – 22 February 2012. the syrian army troops, since months occupied on  repressing in the blood the protest movements claiming against the president Bashar al Assad, have bombed a press center organized from the rebels in Homs City. Inside the building, two dead journalist had been found: Marie Colin, american, sent from the Sunday Times, and Remy Ochlik, french photographer. Syria is sinking, day after day, in the black hole of the massacre, slipping to an  already announced civil war. By now, Assad is aimed from the international condamnation of everyone, because even for his historical allieds as Russia, China and Iran, he became undefendable. The condamnation of France and USA has been particularly strong.

5 - IRAQ - 23 Febbraio 2012. Una serie di cinque attentati coordinati nelle province di Salahuddin, Diyala, Kirkuk ed a Baghdad ha causato una cinquantina di morti. Questi attacchi sono stati organizzati con ordigni rudimentali, soprattutto autobombe e uomini armati. Due di essi sono avvenuti nella capitale nel quartiere di Karrada, a maggioranza sciita. La tensione tra i sostenitori delle due fedi contrapposte, sciiti e sunniti, è aumentata dalla partenza dei soldati americani a Dicembre.

IRAQ – 23 February 2012. a series of five synchronized attempts in the districts of Salahuddin, Diyala, Kirkuk and in the Capital city Baghdad have caused around-fifty deaths. These attacks have been applied with rudimental devices, mostly bomb-vehicles and armed militians. Two of them have happened in the Capital city in the Karrada quarter, populated mostly by Shiites. The tension between the faithfuls of the two different cults, the Shiite and the Sunni, grew up from the leaving of American soldiers in December.

6 - AFGHANISTAN - 24 Febbraio 2012. A seguito del rogo dei Corani avvenuto tre giorni fa nella base Nato di Bagram, non bastano le scuse di Obama a placare l'ira dei fedeli. Oggi 7 persone sono morte a Herat in una protesta davanti al consolato americano dove è intervenuta la polizia. Anche a Kabul centinaia di persone si sono radunate davanti alle ambasciate ed agli edifici governativi lanciando pietre e cantando slogan anti-americani. Altre marce di protesta sono previste nelle città più grandi del Paese e il bilancio totale dei morti ammonta per ora a 19 persone. Intanto Obama ha annunciato che verranno prese misure adeguate contro i responsabili del gesto che sta scatenando questa nuova ondata di violenza.

Afghanistan – 24 February 2012. following up the Korans stake that took place three days ago in the NATO base of Bagram, the excuses of President Obama are not enough to stop the rage of the faithfuls. Today, seven people died in Herat during a protest in front of the american Consulate where the police had to occur. In Kabul, too, hundreds of people gathered in front of the embassies and the other governative buildings launching stones and shouting anti-american slogans. Other protesting marchs are planned in the biggest cities of the country and the total balance of deaths amounts, at the moment, to 19 persons. Meanwhile Obama has announced that appropriate measures will be taken against the responsibles of that act wich is causing this new wave of violence.

7 - ISRAELE - PALESTINA - 25 Febbraio 2012. A Gerusalemme centinaia di palestinesi musulmani hanno dato vita ad un lancio di sassi verso il ponte di Mughrabi in direzione del Muro del Pianto spaventando i fedeli ebrei in preghiera. In risposta militari e forze dell'ordine sono intervenuti sulla spianata con granate stordenti e arrestando diverse persone nel ruolo sacro per i musulmani. La protesta violenta da parte dei palestinesi è dovuta in larga parte alle dichiarazioni di Moshe Feiglin, leader del Manhigut Yehudit (partito di estrema destra) che ai primi di febbraio ha invitato tutti i suoi sostenitori a fare irruzione sulla spianata per “pulirla dai musulmani”. Alcuni seguaci del partito, nei giorni scorsi, si erano effettivamente recati al Monte del tempio provocando i fedeli musulmani.

ISRAEL AND PALESTINE – 25th February 2012. in Jerusalem, hundreds of muslim palestinians started to throw stones aiming the Mughrabi bridge, in the direction of the Wailing Wall, frightening the praying faithful Jews. As a reply, soldiers of the Army and cops intervented in the clearing ground with stunning grenades and by arresting several people in the sacred place for muslims. The violent protest from the palestinians in largely motivated from the words of Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Manhigut Yehudit (extreme-right wing party) who, in the first part of February, had invited all of his supporters to break-in to the clearing ground to “clean it up from Muslims”. Some followers of the party, in the last days, effectively went to the Mount of the Temple provoking the mulslim faithfuls.

1 - IRAQ - 2 febbraio 2012. La legge che dovrebbe tutelare la libertà d’informazione e gli operatori della stampa non rispetta gli standard internazionali e viola la Costituzione irachena. Nello specifico, essa afferma che è abilitato a esercitare la professione solo colui che lavora come giornalista a tempo pieno, escludendo di fatto coloro che hanno un contratto part-time, così come i blogger e tutti gli altri soggetti impegnati nella diffusione delle notizie. La nuova normativa, entrata in vigore nel mese di novembre, è stata fortemente contestata dalle molte organizzazioni che si battono per la libertà di stampa ed è stata oggetto di un ricorso al Supremo Tribunale Federale. Ricorso che però è stato respinto due giorni fa all’unanimità.

2nd February 2012. The law which is supposed to safeguard the freedom of information doesn’t observe the International Standards breaking the IRAQI Constitution at the same time. It says that a full-time journalist is the only one who can operate, excluding part-time professionals as well as bloggers and who broadcast news. The new standard, entry into force in November, has been firmly challenged by several organizations supporting in the freedom of media battle, this was also the object in the recourse to the Federal Supreme Court which was refused two days ago by unanimous vote.

2 - RUSSIA - Mosca - 2 febbraio 2012. La Russia continuerà a vendere armi alla Siria, perché i suoi contratti rispettano gli standard legali internazionali. Lo ha ribadito il ministro della difesa russo, Anatoly Antonoy: “La Russia è intenzionata rispettare i suoi impegni internazionali nel campo della vendita di armi convenzionali, non stiamo violando nessun obbligo internazionale.” Nelle ultime settimane contratti in armamenti tra Mosca e Damasco avevano sollevato le critiche degli Stati Uniti, impegnati nel pressing sul Cremlino perché abbandoni l’alleato siriano e appoggi la nuova risoluzione Onu, che chiede le dimissioni di Bashar el-Assad. Il perché della resistenza russa agli inviti degli USA e dell’ ONU lo si capisce subito dai ricchi contratti per la fornitura degli armamenti, il contratto con la Siria ammonterebbe a 6 miliardi di dollari.

3 - EGITTO – Port Said - 2 febbraio 2012. Il Supremo Consiglio delle Forze Armate, al potere in Egitto dopo la caduta del regime di Hosni Mubarak un anno fa, ha proclamato tre giorni di lutto nazionale per le vittime delle violenze a Port Said, che hanno fatto seguito alla conclusione della partita vinta per 3-1 dai locali dell'al-Masry a spese dei cairoti dell'al-Ahli, uno dei club piu' blasonati del campionato egiziano. Nei tumulti hanno perso la vita almeno 74 persone, mentre il numero dei feriti accertati e' salito a oltre mille. Il Partito per la Liberta' e la Giustizia, braccio politico dei Fratelli Musulmani che controlla quasi la meta' dei seggi nel nuovo Parlamento del Cairo, ha accusato i sostenitori di Mubarak di essere dietro la tragica rissa di massa nell'impianto sportivo. Secondo quanto diffuso dal Ministero dell’Interno egiziano, sarebbero già 47 le persone arrestate.

Port Said 2nd February 2012. 4 - SUDAN - Il 30 gennaio 2012 l’agenzia di stampa cinese Xinhua ha diffuso la notizia del rapimento di 29 lavoratori cinesi ad opera di un gruppo di ribelli armati nella regione del Sud Kordofan (Sudan). Si tratta di operai della Sinohydro, gigante cinese dell’edilizia e del settore idroelettrico, che ha riversato milioni di dollari in investimenti nell’area del travagliato confine con il Sud Sudan.
L’incidente si inserisce nel drammatico quadro degli scontri tra le forze armate sudanesi e i gruppi ribelli alleati con il neonato governo del Sud Sudan. Alla violenza di confine si aggiunge ora il coinvolgimento della Cina– principale fornitore di armi del regime di Khartoum, nonché più importante acquirente del petrolio sudanese. Una situazione difficile per Pechino, criticata da anni per la politica condotta in Africa, la quale la si può definire senza mezzi termini un vero e proprio neocolonialismo economico.

30th January 2012 The Chinese news agency spread the news of the kidnapping of 29 chinese workers commanded from a group of armed rebels in the South Kordofan region (Sudan). 5 - ARABIA SAUDITA - Fino a 25 detenuti stipati in celle di cinque metri quadrati, condizioni igienico-sanitarie catastrofiche e innumerevoli persone che dormono per terra. Da qualche giorno circola in rete un video rubato nel carcere di Braiman, a Gedda, che mostra le condizioni pietose in cui vivono i detenuti del penitenziario della seconda città più grande dell'Arabia Saudita. I detenuti vivono in condizioni inumane. Inoltre vi è la testimonianza del militante saudita Hussain al-Yousif . Il militante sostiene che la situazione nel paese è uguale in tutte le carceri, se non peggiore, ha parlato di pene corporali e difficoltà nel farsi curare e ha concluso dicendo : " Si sentono da tempo notizie di somme ingenti destinate alla costruzione di nuove prigioni. Niente cambia. I soldi non arrivano mai a destinazione"

6 - COLOMBIA – 2 FEBB 2012 - E' di almeno sette morti accertati e di 73 feriti, 33 dei quali in gravi condizioni, il bilancio di un attentato dinamitardo avvenuto a Tumaco, citta' portuale del dipartimento di Narino, nella Colombia sud-occidentale: una moto carica di esplosivo e lasciata in sosta davanti a un commissariato di polizia e' saltata in aria: la deflagrazione e' stata tanto potente che ha quasi completamente raso al suolo la palazzina, lesionando inoltre quattro edifici adiacenti. Tra le vittime, oltre a numerosi agenti, anche semplici passanti, compresi molti bambini e donne. Anche le autorita' colombiane non sono riuscite a collegare l’attentato con nessun gruppo terroristico ed hanno offerto una taglia di 100 milioni di pesos, pari a oltre 42.000 euro, a chiunque fornira' elementi utili a identificare gli autori della strage .

The Colombian Authority didn’t match the attack to any terrorist group and it has been offered a sum of 100 million pesos, about 42.000 euro, for those who will contribute to identify the massacre authors.
