In a country dominated for months by conflicts and violence of various movements, the city of Mbeiket Lahwach, in the south-east of Mauritania, became theatre of a meeting attended by hundreds of Malians of different factions who are seeking a common strategy against the jihadists in northern Mali.

Among the rebels there were about 250 wounded, and 374 have surrendered to the Army. In the ranks of the military, however, in addition to 40 deaths there are a hundred injured.

4 - SOMALIA - 7 Giugno 2012.

Violent fightings have been reported in several villages near the town of Afmadow, in the Lower Juba (south of the country),which has been stolen from the regular army and rebel militia forces from the Kenyan defense in recent days, after mobilization of African countries to eradicate the movement. 5 - PAKISTAN - 8 Giugno 2012.

The vehicle exploded and was engulfed in flames, causing the death of even a few women and a child. The perpetrators are almost certainly linked to al-Qaida terrorist groups , very active in the area. Meanwhile, however, the United Nations has denounced the attacks by unmanned aircraft (drones) launched by the CIA in Pakistan's tribal areas to strike at its strongest concentration spots of these militants. At the conclusion of his visit to Islamabad, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Indian Navi Pillai, has declared that "the raid with the drones raises serious doubts about compliance with international law".

The government declared the state of emergency last night for 30 days in the province of Espinar in southern Andean region of Cuzco, after violent clashes between police and villagers who oppose the mine Xstrata Tintaya activity and resulting in two dead and dozens wounded. 3 – SOMALIA – 30 Maggio 2012.

SOMALIA - May 30, 2012. Kenyan troops and African Union (AU) came to Afmadow, one of the last bastions of al Shabaab Islamist insurgents in southern Somalia. 4 - SUDAN – SUD SUDAN - 31 Maggio 2012.

SUDAN - SOUTH SUDAN - May 31st, 2012. After the withdrawal of troops took place yesterday from the Sudanese region of Abyei, disputed with South Sudan, ending a year of employment, today the Government of Southern Sudan has accused the enemy of the completion of the bombing on the border between the two countries.
