1 - IRAQ - 5 Marzo 2012. A Haditha, città a circa 200 km a nordovest di Baghdad, una cinquantina di uomini armati ha compiuto una serie di attacchi nella nottata a vari posti di polizia. Le azioni hanno causato la morte di 27 agenti ed il ferimento di altri 5 e sono iniziate con il sequestro di due ufficiali di polizia nelle loro abitazioni, ritrovati morti poco lontano da esse. Anche 3 dei rapitori sono morti nelle sparatorie. Il portavoce della polizia, Tareq Sayeh Hardan, accusa Al Qaeda per il quello che è il più grave e violento attacco dell'ultimo anno per la città che fu teatro di una strage nel 2005. La regione è a maggioranza sunnita e le comunità locali negli ultimi anni si erano schierate dalla parte delle forze americane per combattere i militanti di Al Qaeda, con un grosso contributo delle forze di polizia. Per questo è molto probabile che l'attacco sia stato realmente pianificato dall'organizzazione terroristica.

2 - LIBIA - 6 Marzo 2012. A Bengasi, seconda città del Paese, migliaia di rappresentanti delle tribù orientali e diversi comandanti delle milizie hanno proclamato l'indipendenza della Cirenaica (la regione orientale della Libia) eleggendo un congresso regionale con funzioni di governo e formando un esercito autonomo. In tutta risposta il presidente del Consiglio nazionale transitorio libico, Jalil, commenta la vicenda affermando che questo è un atto di cospirazione fomentato da Stati stranieri che rischia di mettere a repentaglio il futuro democratico ed unitario della Libia. Per evitare tutto ciò Jalil si dichiara pronto anche all'utilizzo della forza. Il dopo-Gheddafi si dimostra così un cammino molto difficile per il Paese, a causa soprattutto della composizione etnica molto variegata dei suoi abitanti.

A Tunisi un gruppo di salafiti, ossia il movimento sunnita che da sempre invoca un ritorno alle origini dell'Islam ed un'osservanza autentica del Corano in chiave non fondamentalista, hanno dato vita ad una protesta assediando la facoltà di Lettere e scienze umanistiche “La Manouba”. Da diversi giorni l'università è teatro di grandi scontri e proteste in un Paese che sta attraversando da più di un anno un'incerta e convulsa fase di transizione dopo la caduta del regime di Ben Alì. In particolare, il motivo della protesta dei salafiti è il rifiuto di accettare nella facoltà le studentesse che indossino il niqab, ossia il velo islamico che copre integralmente il volto.

4 - ECUADOR - 8 Marzo 2012. Le organizzazioni indigene hanno dato il via oggi ad una lunga marcia attraverso tutto il Paese in segno di protesta contro la politica mineraria del governo, il quale ha di recente siglato un accordo per lo sfruttamento su vasta scala di una miniera nel sud dell'Amazzonia da parte dell'impresa cinese Ecuacorriente. Qualche giorno fa alcune donne avevano consegnato all'ambasciata cinese una lettera di protesta in cui si leggeva che la miniera «distruggerà per sempre i territori dei popoli indigeni e la natura», venendo brutalmente allontanate dalla polizia. In risposta, gli Indios hanno proclamato la marcia che comincerà appunto oggi.
ECUADOR – 8th March 2012. The native organizations have starter a long march through the whole country as a sign of protest against mineral policy of the government, which has recently signed an accord for the long-range exploitation of a mine south from Amazonia from a Chinese enterprise called “Ecuacorriente”. Few days ago some women have dealed to the Chinese embassy a letter of protest in which there was written that the mine “will destroy forever the lands of the native people and the nature”, being brutally pushed away from the police. As reply, the Indios have proclaimed the march which will take place in this date.
5 - PAKISTAN - 9 Marzo 2012. Nella regione settentrionale del Paese, nel Waziristan, un drone americano creato dalla CIA ha sparato oggi due razzi contro un edificio ed un'auto uccidendo almeno 13 persone. La zona si trova al confine con l'Afghanistan e per questo motivo dall'inizio dell'anno sono già più di 40 le vittime causate dall'attacco dei droni americani in più di 26 attacchi in questa regione. Ufficialmente gli attacchi sono organizzati per cercare di eliminare una cellula terroristica che starebbe studiando una serie di attentati in Europa, tuttavia in realtà la gran parte delle vittime sono risulta essere sempre popolazione civile.
PAKISTAN – 9th March 2012. In the northern region of the Country, in Waziristan, an American drone created from the CIA today has launched two rockets directed to a building and a car killing at least 13 people. The area is on the border with Afghanistan and for this since the beginning of the year the victims killed by American drones attacks in 26 occasions are already more than 40. officially the attacks are organized to try to eliminate a terroristic cell that would be studying a series of attempts in Europe, however most of the victims result being civilians.
6 - ISRAELE E PALESTINA - 10 Marzo 2012. Per tutto il giorno si susseguono attacchi e violenze a suon di missili. A partire dalla serata di ieri raid israeliani sulla Striscia di Gaza hanno causato 12 morti e 19 feriti, in rispoasta ai quali una quarantina di razzi e di colpi di mortaio sono stati lanciati sul sud d'Israele provocando il ferimento di quattro israeliani. Nella mattinata di oggi un velivolo israeliano ha aperto il fuoco su due palestinesi in sella ad una motocicletta ritenendo che fossero due miliziani che si preparavano a lanciare razzi verso Israele. Nel pomeriggio, quindi, non si è fatta attendere la risposta palestinese, con un lancio di razzi senza gravi conseguenze nel sud di Israele soprattutto a Beer Sheva, capoluogo della regione del Neghev, dove per precauzione domani le scuole rimarranno chiuse.
ISRAEL AND PALESTINE - 10th March 2012. All day long stilled bombardments and violences. From yesterday evening Israelian raids on Gaza Stripe caused 12 deaths and 19 hurted. Responding to this, fourty missiles and many mortar fires were launched on the southern part of Israel causing four Israelian hurted. During this morning an Israelian plane opened fire against two Palestinian riders confusing them with two militians, thinking they were launching missiles against Israel. During the afternoon Palestinians, as answer, launched missiles without heavy consequences on the southern part of Israel, in particular in Beer Sheva, chief city of the region of Neghev, where the schools will be closed out of prevention tomorrow.
7 - AFGHANISTAN - 11 Marzo 2012. Nella mattinata un soldato americano ha aperto il fuoco all'impazzata contro delle abitazioni in due villaggi del distretto di Panjwai, nella regione di Kandahar, causando la morte di almeno 17 civili e diversi feriti. Tra questi ci sono nove bambini e tre donne. Il soldato, che è stato immediatamente arrestato da militari della Forza internazionale di assistenza alla sicurezza (Isaf), soffriva da tempo di disturbi nervosi e probabilmente questa strage deriva da un raptus di follia. Il Presidente Karzai ha chiesto alla NATO di fare chiarezza sulla vicenda, mentre Obama si scusa definendo il fatto “tragico e scioccante”.
AFGHANISTAN – 11th March 2012. This morning an American soldier shot wildly against some homes in two different villages in the district of Panjwai, in Kandahar area, killing at least 17 civilians and injuring some others of them. There were nine children and three women too. The soldier, who has immediately arrested by the International Force of Assistance to Security, has been suffering from nervous troubles by long time and this massacre is probably caused by an act of folly. President Karzai has asked NATO to explain clearly about the vicissitude, Obama apologizes and he defines this event a “tragic and shocking” fact.
