1 - CONGO - 14 Maggio 2012. Undici caschi blu del contingente Monuc delle Nazioni Unite dispiegato nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo (Rdc) sono stati feriti oggi da colpi di proiettile sparati contro di loro da alcuni locali. Questi accusano la missione Onu di non essere intervenuta di fronte agli attacchi sanguinari attribuiti alle Forze democratiche di liberazione del Ruanda (Fdlr). L'episodio si è verificato nell'instabile provincia del Sud-Kivu nella parte orientale del Paese proprio al confine con il Ruanda. In quest'area, in effetti sono frequenti le violenze del suddetto movimento, il quale è composto da appartenenti al gruppo etnico Hutu e prosegue la lotta armata per sfuggire al controllo ruandese ed all'incriminazione per le atrocità commesse in tempo di guerra.
CONGO - May 14, 2012. Eleven peacekeepers of the United Nations contingent of MONUC deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were injured today by bullets fired at them by some locals. They accused the UN mission not to have intervened in the face of bloody attacks attributed to the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR). The incident occurred in the unstable province of South Kivu in the eastern part of the country at the border with Rwanda. In this area, in fact, there are frequent violences attributed to that movement, which is composed of members of the Hutu ethnic group and pursue armed struggle to escape the control of Rwanda and to the indictment for the atrocities committed in wartime.
2 - SIRIA - 15 Maggio 2012. E' stata del 51,26% l'affluenza alle urne per le elezioni parlamentari del 7 maggio in Siria, che secondo risultati non ancora ufficiali vedono la conferma del partito Baath come forza di maggioranza. Le principali forze dell'opposizione hanno liquidato la tornata alle urne come una messinscena propagandistica del regime, viste le continue violenze che continuano ad imperversare nel Paese, con una situazione che non ha mai raggiunto una stabilità nonostante i grandi sforzi della diplomazia internazionale.
SYRIA - May 15, 2012. The main opposition forces have cleared the back to the polls as a sham propaganda of the regime, given the continuing violence that continues to rage in the country, a situation that has never achieved stability despite the best efforts of international diplomacy.

Ad una settimana dalla consegna della nuova Costituzione federale, il Paese è nel caos a causa delle numerose manifestazioni, degli scontri con la polizia e degli scioperi della fame. La maggior parte di questi incidenti avvengono nelle regioni occidentali del Paese, abitate da minoranze etniche che da anni invocano una maggiore autonomia senza ottenere alcun riconoscimento nonostante gli inviti persino di Ban Ki-Moon, segretario generale dell'ONU. Lo sciopero generale dei trasporti in atto da tre settimane, in particolare, sta causando grandi difficoltà per le regioni montane, a corto di medicinali e di viveri.
NEPAL - May 16, 2012. One week after delivery of the new Federal Constitution, the country is in chaos because of the many demonstrations, clashes with police and hunger strikes. Most of these accidents occur in the western regions of the country, inhabited by ethnic minorities asking for greater autonomy for years without getting any recognition despite calls even by Ban Ki-Moon, UN General Secretary. The general strike of transport in place for three weeks, in particular, is causing grave difficulties for the mountain regions, short of medicines and food.
4 - ISRAELE – PALESTINA - 17 Maggio 2012. Otto palestinesi sarebbero stati feriti nelle ultime ore nella Striscia di Gaza dal fuoco israeliano, in due episodi avvenuti presso la linea di confine tra i territori controllati da Hamas e quelli appartenenti allo Stato ebraico. I fatti si sono verificati ad est di Gaza City e nel settore di Beit Lahiya: qui tre palestinesi sono stati colpiti da raffiche di mitragliatrice, mentre a Gaza 5 persone sarebbero state colpite dalle schegge di un'esplosione, causata dal fuoco di un carro armato israeliano.
ISRAEL - PALESTINE - May 17, 2012. Eight Palestinians were wounded in the last hours in the Gaza Strip by Israeli fire in two incidents occurred at the boundary between the territories controlled by Hamas and those belonging to the Jewish state. The facts have occurred east of Gaza City and in Beit Lahiya: here, three Palestinians were hit by bursts of machine gun, while 5 people in Gaza were hit by shrapnel in an explosion caused by fire from an Israeli tank.
5 - GUINEA BISSAU - 18 Maggio 2012. Nel Paese dell'Africa occidentale, teatro poche settimane fa di un colpo di Stato da parte dei militari, un contingente di 70 soldati del Burkina Faso è arrivato come prima avanguardia della forza di 600 militari inviati dai Paesi della Comunità economica degli Stati dell'Africa occidentale (Ecowas). La missione è stata decisa per accompagnare la transizione del Paese verso un governo democratico, secondo l'intenzione originaria del regime che ha acquisito il potere proprio con l'obiettivo di condurre la Guinea Bissau alla democrazia. Nei prossimi giorni è previsto l'arrivo di nuove forze militari degli altri Paesi africani.
GUINEA BISSAU - May 18, 2012. 6 - YEMEN - 19 Maggio 2012. Almeno 22 miliziani legati ad al Qaida e 12 soldati yemeniti sono morti in combattimento o in seguito a bombardamenti aerei tra ieri e oggi, nel corso della nuova offensiva guidata dagli americani contro gli insorti nel sud dello Yemen. Gli scontri erano cominciati ieri sera e oggi hanno interessato anche la periferia della città meridionale di Jaar, in mano agli integralisti islamici, dove gli USA sono intervenuti con raid aerei di droni, come ormai sta avvenendo nel Paese da diversi mesi a questa parte.
YEMEN - May 19, 2012. At least 22 militants members of al Qaeda and 12 Yemeni soldiers were killed in combat or as a result of air raids between yesterday and today, in the course of a new American-led offensive against insurgents in the south of Yemen. The clashes were started last night and today have also affected the outskirts of the southern city of Jaar, in the hands of Islamic fundamentalists, where the U.S. intervened with air strikes by drones, as is now happening in the country for several months now.
7 - MALI - 20 Maggio 2012. E' andato in scena oggi un nuovo passo nel processo di stabilizzazione del Paese, retto ormai da due mesi da un regime militare dopo un golpe. I vertici militari hanno infatti hanno accettato la decisione della Comunità economica degli Stati dell'Africa occidentale (Ecowas) che prevede un periodo di transizione, sotto la guida del presidente Dioncounda Traorè, che porti a nuove elezioni. ''Un accordo di principio è stato trovato con l'Ecowas'', ha dichiarato il capo dei golpisti, il capitano Amadou Haya Sanogo, dopo aver incontrato i ministri dei Paesi Ecowas, giunti a Bamako per mediare.
MALI - May 20, 2012. Today is a new step in the process of stabilizing of the country, governed now for two months by a military regime following a coup. The military have in fact accepted the decision of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) which provides for a transitional period, under the leadership of President Dioncounda Traore, leading to new elections. ''An agreement in principle was found with the Ecowas'', said the head of the coup, Captain Amadou Sanogo Haya, after meeting the ministers of ECOWAS countries, arrived in Bamako to mediate.
